Symbolism and Collective Identity

This activity provides the opportunity for students to connect symbolism and collective identity not only at the present time in Canada but also many years ago in the Iroquois Confederacy. Through the study of the Wampum Belt, students will then create a symbol that shows collective identity for a group they may belong to.
