Courtprep: Court Information for Youth

This resource, available in English or French, uses cartoon pictures to lead youth through the court system from arrest to sentencing. Using audio and text, you can go on a virtual tour of a court room where each character states his or her official position and job description. The justice process is clearly outlined in 12 steps from the police report to the appeal. There is also information about what is involved in being a witness, reporting a crime, and support for victims of crime. After learning about the courtroom and justice system there are two games to test your knowledge of what you have learned.
