The Kid’s Site of Canadian Development

This interactive website assists teachers and students as they examine Alberta’s cultural diversity and is designed to enhance curricular outcomes at the grades three to six level. The settlement theme has curriculum tie-ins to history, national identity, human rights, culture, multiculturalism, language arts and geography. Educational that complement the site, include a full teaching unit with an evaluation rubric.

 Exploration of each community includes history, daily life and culture, and the history section specifically addresses laws that affected these communities historically and continue today. The French version can be accessed by clicking the link in the top corner of the website.
